Men in Boots is an opportunity for men who have recently joined, or have been attending Fulwood Church for many years, for informal fellowship and a chance to get to know each other whilst enjoying a leisurely walk in the local countryside.
Fulwood is located in and close to some of the most amazing walking countryside, and between the beginning of April and the end of September (what we optimistically call the summer months) we arrange to meet at least once a month for a walk during the week. Evening walks normally last about 1 to 2 hours and have been known to stop briefly for a quick drink.
During the winter months we continue to meet for night walks, and try to arrange them for the evening of the Full Moon. We also try and arrange some ‘special’ day walks, on Saturdays, which give us the opportunity to go a little further than we can during a midweek evening.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the night by 7:30pm or at the time stated, with a pair of walking boots and a waterproof jacket if rain is forecast - as these walks are not weather dependent.
If you have any ideas for routes or have any questions about a walk then please let us know.
